Many things go unknown, many quotes unheard.
From those movies and shows that seem to, stray from the herd.
But there comes those special people, that gets it, completely.
They respond with a reference, so perfect, so discreetly.
They're the Reference Understanders,
They've seen it, they care.
They're the Reference Understanders,
Forever saving you from cold, confused, blank stares.
Many a time, odd music goes unfound.
"What in the world? what is this horribly ridiculous sound?!"
They there comes a special bunch who always keep an open ear.
They know every lyric, and will sing along with you, without fear.
They're the Reference Understanders,
Yes they've actually heard of that before.
They're the Reference Understanders,
Gladly they'll laugh with you, fall hysterically on the floor.
Many a years go by, past generation favourites are forgotten.
Those shows that were on so long ago, to some they now seem rotten.
But there's a golden few who pick through the past trash,
They still watch the re-runs, still cry to the last episode of M*A*S*H.
They're the Reference Understanders,
They know how much useless information they've explored.
They're the Reference Understanders,
Soon enough you'll see, they'll take over the world.

Comments
Um..perhaps the ending can be something like
They're the Reference Understanders,
Knowing all about the useless information they've explored.
They're the Reference Understanders,
Soon enough ,they'll take over the world.

SAVE THE LIPS AND SIGN THE PETITION!
This made me think of a book I read called The Perks of Being a Wallflower. If you haven't read it, you should, because the main character is exactly this way. It's uncanny! I love it!

I like to deep sea fish a lot.----John Entwistle
I couldn't have said it any better! And as
Katie said: you are one of those people as
well. You "get it" without even having
to question why it's liked. It just
is!
We need more extraordinary in an ordinary
world.
(And the ending of M*A*S*H* will always
make me cry... same goes for the last Muppet Show.)

Unintentionally annoying yet always toying.
Incredibly insecure yet always unsure.
Undoubtedly pained yet nothing still gained.
Intangibly me... yet who can I be? --- Me
It looks a little songish.

"Ooo he said Pianist!"- The Seventh Python
Aw shucks, guess I made it a bit autobiographical!
Yeah, so true..
(aww..did you ever see the episode where Radar went home? they showed that one today..gosh, that's a tearjerker too! Hm.. never saw the last Muppet Show, was it really that sad?)
